Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simon Oihan started the match with the kick off. Zarco Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Oihan in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Peñaloza got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victorino Bonifaco ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Bonifaco in the 25th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Bonifaco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Victorino Bonifaco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 40th minute of play forced Peñaloza's goalkeeper Zarco Figueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Peñaloza getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Maximino Venceslao hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Peñaloza got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Venceslao. Victorino Bonifaco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Peñaloza getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Claudio Molina hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Victorino Bonifaco walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Maximino Venceslao hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes Peñaloza got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Venceslao. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zarco Figueira. Zarco Figueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Peñaloza manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Venezuela to win.
