Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Aaron Fertus sent off a good shot on target. Jonatan Faron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Nueva Lepra FC's Jonatan Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 36th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonatan Faron was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Nueva Lepra FC got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Gabrio. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonatan Faron. Nueva Lepra FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonatan Faron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Raulo made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Remigio Reyes however managed to control. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nueva Lepra FC's goalkeeper Jonatan Faron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Fertus in the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Nueva Lepra FC's Jonatan Faron got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Alfredo Gaizkine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Gaizkine made in the 78th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Remigio Reyes immediately put the ball in play. Jonatan Faron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The supporters of Nueva Lepra FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Nueva Lepra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Jonatan Faron, making the score, 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
