Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. Algarrobo's attentive Rutenio Mahuzier managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Everardo Ado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everardo Ado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Cañas might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Cañas ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Cañas got free with Dante Lacasa in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 16 played minutes Algarrobo got a freekick which was hit by Juan Ignacio Vera. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Everardo Ado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 19th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Ado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Cañas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Cañas in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmundo Cañass short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Algarrobo fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Algarrobo's Edmundo Cañas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edmundo Cañas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 35th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper Everardo Ado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 36th minute. Leonardo Leoz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Algarrobo got a freekick which was hit by Rutenio Mahuzier. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Everardo Ado. Algarrobo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 47 played minutes Algarrobo got a freekick which was hit by Niguel Pasten. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Armando Lamb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Everardo Ado made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Facundo Cadaval sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Ado saved Algarrobo from getting behind. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Lamb in the 58th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joel Gaona, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 60 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Everardo Ado was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Everardo Ado in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Leoz during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. Diego Armando Lamb took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a little luck, Algarrobo's Everardo Ado got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Algarrobo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Everardo Ado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Armando Lamb came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Everardo Ado however easily saved by the left post. After 88 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Ado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Algarrobo were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
