With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Waldemar Ryback tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Stegaru in the 24th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of City Friseur Wuppertal booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
