In the 4th match minute, Barreal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Giliusson to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreal FC's goalkeeper Dário Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 8th minute of play. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben-Ami Gol in the 19th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dário Tepedino came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luca Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Barreal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo-Enrique Scholes to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Tepedino having to interfere. If Pablo-Enrique Scholes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, one of Barreal FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barreal FC. The Barreal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-2.

In the 51st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dário Tepedino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 53 minutes Barreal FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. 55 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Dário Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Dário Tepedino in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dário Tepedino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben-Ami Gol in the 66th minute of the match. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 68th minute of play. Barreal FC made a substitution. Efrain Lope replaced Pablo-Enrique Scholes. A collision led to Barreal FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jairo Eneko hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Corrêa in the 74th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Dário Tepedino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Guang Chen in the 83rd minute of play. Dário Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Lautaro Mancebo let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 90th minute shot 0-3 at rihgt post. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
