After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Fabio Honrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Fabio Honrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amien Pardede got free with Dante Lacasa in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but almafuerte's Victorino Macias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Kiewra came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Incendio hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind almafuerte's goalkeeper Victorino Macias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victorino Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, almafuerte's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Victorino Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anier Incendio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
