Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Michael Weniger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michael Weniger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Dan Rowell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmuth Follmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Patrick Galvão scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 3-0. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Galvão in the 24th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After having played for 29 minutes, Benno Meves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Staines Massive's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benno Meves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Galvão. Michael Weniger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Romão Zarco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Galvão came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. West Staines Massive's Calvin Kuckhoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 48th minute of play. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 49th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Aaron Alcocer heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Galvão made a kick off. After a rather tough play, West Staines Massive's Dan Rowell got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Helmuth Follmann made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of West Staines Massive booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Galvão took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Dan Rowell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a West Staines Massive's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Galvão took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Michael Weniger took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Dan Rowell scored 9-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Helmuth Follmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Michael Weniger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrick Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Weniger went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. In the 90thth minute of the game Patrick Galvão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. West Staines Massive made a substitution. Yuan Qi replaced Moses Bardhan. West Staines Massive walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
