Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Chandozos's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Gar Cumbres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vellito Colmenares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vellito Colmenares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Chandozos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vellito Colmenares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute Adan Catalan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vellito Colmenares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Chandozos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Catalan to maneuver through the defense. When Bonadona Azpiroz fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chandozos's protests and gave Bonadona Azpiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Bonadona Azpiroz hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Suarbol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Chandozos were awarded a corner. Raymon Albisu went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Chandozos's corner Raymon Albisu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Chandozos booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Chandozos's Bonadona Azpiroz got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Bonadona Azpiroz off the ground. A collision led to Chandozos getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bonadona Azpiroz hit a great ball. Chandozos made a substitution. Mantzio Consul replaced Raymon Albisu. 68 minutes into the game, Vellito Colmenares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chandozos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 68 played minutes Chandozos got a freekick which was hit by Vellito Colmenares. A sloppy throw-in by Jhonny Evans in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jose Correa. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Adan Catalan hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Vellito Colmenares made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jhonny Evans immediately put the ball in play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Catalan in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mantzio Consul in the 87th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute Mantzio Consul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osoro Valaguer hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chandozos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
