SABALEPLUS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 21st minute, Ovidio Enaut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SABALEPLUS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Santiago Toli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Toli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Toli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santiago Toli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Toli. SABALEPLUS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Alavedra in the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to SABALEPLUS getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Hugo Santikurtz hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 56th minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yiğit Tanırer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Enaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidio Enaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when SABALEPLUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
