After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Cezar Zubaşcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Cezar Zubaşcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Club Palestino فلسطين's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Jorge Mohammed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Mohammed didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Mohammed having to make a save. Jorge Mohammed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Club Palestino فلسطين booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play forced Club Palestino فلسطين's goalkeeper Jorge Mohammed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Club Palestino فلسطين fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Mohammed should have stopped the shot. Club Palestino فلسطين's Rocky Dejardin got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rocky Dejardin took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Lautaro Mancebos short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Jorge Mohammed to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorge Mohammed came out and tried to block the shot, but Lautaro Mancebo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 58th minute. Rocky Dejardin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Jorge Mohammed in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Palestino فلسطين's Cezar Zubaşcu. But to his dismay, Cezar Zubaşcu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Club Palestino فلسطين's Samir Mustafa was substituted for Jörg Hannemann. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Skrzypiec in the 80th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Zubaşcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Mohammed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 92nd minute of play. Mexico played a much better game than Club Palestino فلسطين and deserved their victory. The Club Palestino فلسطين players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
