Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damián Diaz in the 16th minute of play. Mario Dewaele did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Dewaele came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mario Dewaele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After having played for 26 minutes, Damián Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Score! 3-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Mario Dewaele cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Trynda's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Dewaele in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. RockCity F.C. fully deserved thier win.
