Aristides Abascal was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Omar Cordara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Omar Cordara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. André de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Newell´s's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Şerif Attaroğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Aristides Abascal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Bilintx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute of the match Newell´s got a corner. AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Indiana Turban ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Isidoro Ramires almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's Aristides Abascal did a great save. The supporters of Newell´s booed when AKINCILAR DeLiLeR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reşat Hattat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Maura came free, but Aristides Abascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Cordara came free, but Aristides Abascal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Bilintxs short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Aristides Abascal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aristides Abascal made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Omar Cordara sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Tavgaç to strike the kick off in the second half. Aristides Abascal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Cordara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Omar Cordara made a precise shot to the right of Aristides Abascal. AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. AKINCILAR DeLiLeR made a substitution. Luís Gustavo da Fonseca replaced Ali Tavgaç. Newell´s's Omar Cordara got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Omar Cordara took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aristides Abascal. Aristides Abascal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Tayyar Canbolat hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luís Gustavo da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristobal Estavan was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Aristides Abascal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
