Ignacio Lertxun hit a great ball. Amancio Bilintx took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Iaki. Benedicto Iaki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Jakobe in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Iaki saved С О К О Λ Ъ from getting behind. A collision led to Newell´s getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Amancio Bilintx hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Argoitz in the 21st minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Nunez Nahia in the 24th minute really tested Cristobal Estavan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Padro in the 25th minute of the match. When С О К О Λ Ъ's Gonzalo Padro, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for С О К О Λ Ъ. С О К О Λ Ъ's Benedicto Iaki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Cordara in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Newell´s's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Padro came free, but Cristobal Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Estavan made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Javier Atarrabi sent off a good shot on target. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Argoitz in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Newell´s's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Abelardo Seme got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Cristobal Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Padro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Javier Atarrabi made the kick off in the second half. Benedicto Iaki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Bilintx, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Tadeo Jakobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Padro in the 58th minute of the match. Amancio Bilintx had several of the С О К О Λ Ъ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Benedicto Iaki as he didn't even see the shot coming. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Atarrabi in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, С О К О Λ Ъ's Javier Atarrabi got a free kick in the 91st minute. Indiana Turban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newell´s had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
