An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Cordara in the 4th minute of play forced AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's goalkeeper Aristides Abascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Indiana Turban took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aristides Abascal. Aristides Abascal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, Newell´s's Indiana Turban made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aristides Abascal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Newell´s's Tadeo Jakobe got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of AKINCILAR DeLiLeR booed when Newell´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Ramires didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Newell´s fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Newell´s's Tadeo Jakobe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 21 minutes into the match, Amancio Bilintx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aristides Abascal. AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amancio Bilintx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 24th minute Omar Cordara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Abascal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rıfat Usbey in the 26th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Newell´s:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AKINCILAR DeLiLeR:s goal. The goalkeeper, Cristobal Estavan, was totally fooled by AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's Kılıçhan Yalım, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Tayyar Canbolat made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's Ali Tavgaç. Aristides Abascal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Cordara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Faustino Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Abascal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan got control of the ball when Ali Tavgaç tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rıfat Usbey in the 47th minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Newell´s's Indiana Turban shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aristides Abascal but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Faustino Maura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aristides Abascal. That made the score 1-5 in the 55 minute of play. Omar Cordara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tadeo Jakobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aristides Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Cordara in the 60th minute of play forced AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's goalkeeper Aristides Abascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Omar Cordara came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Newell´s fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Cordara couldn't finish the play. Aristides Abascal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Cordara in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute Faustino Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Abascal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Cordara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Aristides Abascal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aristides Abascal made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Tadeo Jakobe sent off a good shot on target. Aristides Abascal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Omar Cordara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Aristides Abascal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, AKINCILAR DeLiLeR's goalkeeper Aristides Abascal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Jakobe. In the 92nd minute, Tadeo Jakobe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Tadeo Jakobe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newell´s fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Newell´s's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
