After a defensive mix-up in MACUMBA's zone, Clayton Pedron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manga Santos came out of the goal and Clayton Pedron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Genílson da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manga Santos made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Clayton Pedron sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Pedron in the 13th minute of play forced MACUMBA's goalkeeper Manga Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Clayton Pedron got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clayton Pedron in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manga Santos saved MACUMBA from getting behind. Manga Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute of the match C o n f i a n ç a - SE got a corner. MACUMBA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charles Capixaba ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jeremias Maia heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Pedron in the 22nd minute of play forced MACUMBA's goalkeeper Manga Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Genílson da Silva got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Josué Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, MACUMBA's goalkeeper Manga Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clayton Pedron. Vivaldo Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, MACUMBA's goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Pedron came free, but Manga Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manga Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Pedron in the 32nd minute of the match. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Paes in the 34th minute of play. The goalkeeper, Manga Santos, was totally fooled by C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Charles Capixaba, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 47 minutes into the match, MACUMBA's goalkeeper Manga Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clayton Pedron. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clayton Pedron to make the kick off. Manga Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54thth minute of the game Clayton Pedron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MACUMBA's Manga Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clayton Pedron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manga Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Manga Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Pedron in the 57th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Diguinho Carioca successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Josué Quintal spun around in front of the goal 60 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goal. Manga Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Pedron in the 65th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Clayton Pedron made a precise shot to the right of Manga Santos. MACUMBA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Arthur Barbosa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonides Kaiet in the 70 minute of the game. Charles Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Manga Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Vivaldo Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's attentive Adam Eversden managed to snatch the ball when Leonides Kaiet made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Charles Capixaba was slow to take the kick. During this time C o n f i a n ç a - SE's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Arthur Barbosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MACUMBA's Manga Santos did a great save. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
