Independiente booed when Goo Goo Dolls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Dragnea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Olimpiu Dragnea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Rexino. Club A. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olimpiu Dragnea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Cacá Mangione notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club A. Independiente's Roque Rexino. Roque Rexino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Club A. Independiente getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Venancio Mirande hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Club A. Independiente defense, Felix Lane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Rexino. The Club A. Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Rexino should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, Olimpiu Dragnea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roque Rexino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 25 minutes of play, Goo Goo Dolls's Dom Rusby made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gianluca Infante kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Club A. Independiente's Roque Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Mangione in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Olimpiu Dragnea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goo Goo Dolls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After 33 minutes of play, Goo Goo Dolls's Felix Lane made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Rusby in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Felix Lane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roque Rexino was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Dragnea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Roque Rexino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Club A. Independiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Goo Goo Dolls were winning 0-10.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Ishmael to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Club A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Andres Ishmael. Roque Rexino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olimpiu Dragnea in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Roque Rexino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matteo Gillis. Roque Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Mangione in the 54th minute of the match. Olimpiu Dragnea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Roque Rexino made a huge save. Dom Rusby received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roque Rexino came out and tried to block the shot, but Dom Rusby slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 62nd minute. Goo Goo Dolls made a substitution. Kenny Anson replaced Dom Rusby. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Roque Rexino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matteo Gillis scored 0-13 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Rexino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cacá Mangione scored 0-14 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Rexino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Club A. Goo Goo Dolls played a much better game than Club A. Independiente and deserved their victory. The Club A. Independiente players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
