In the 6th minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Cuss made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Jeremias Maia sent off a good shot on target. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Dragnea in the 16th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Clayton Pedron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. C o n f i a n ç a - SE were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Goo Goo Dolls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Charles Capixaba took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Adam Eversden got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benjamin Cuss quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25th minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diguinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Lane in the 27th minute of play. Jeremias Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Benjamin Cuss made a huge save. Diguinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Dragnea in the 36th minute of the match. Diguinho Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Mangione, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Mangione stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Lane in the 51st minute of the match. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save C o n f i a n ç a - SE from getting a goal against them. After 70 minutes, Fábio Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goo Goo Dolls and the C o n f i a n ç a - SE players grew even worse after the yellow card. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Ricardinho Sá was substituted for Jeremias Maia. In the 72nd minute, Fábio Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goo Goo Dolls played a much better game than C o n f i a n ç a - SE and deserved their victory. The C o n f i a n ç a - SE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
