C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Serpa in the 8th minute of play. Diguinho Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Sourpis in the 10th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Clayton Pedron put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Teófilo Belém. 14 minutes into the match, Frits Evenhuis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca. Diguinho Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diguinho Carioca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Evenhuis in the 29th minute of play. MC ESPANHOL's Kostas Sourpis got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Palma came free, but Diguinho Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgílio Serpa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diguinho Carioca having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Sourpis came free, but Diguinho Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Pedron in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of C o n f i a n ç a - SE booed when MC ESPANHOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teófilo Belém made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Clayton Pedron sent off a good shot on target. Cosimo Vettori kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Giovannelli during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, one of MC ESPANHOL:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MC ESPANHOL. After the first half MC ESPANHOL were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clayton Pedron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Sourpis in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Songur Ersalmış got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Jeremias Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teófilo Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Adam Eversden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MC ESPANHOL the free kick. A collision led to C o n f i a n ç a - SE getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Adam Eversden hit a great ball. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Diguinho Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Sourpis in the 63rd minute of play. Diguinho Carioca had great luck who in the 68thth minute grab hold of the ball when Virgílio Serpa from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kostas Sourpis got free with Diguinho Carioca in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 played minutes MC ESPANHOL got a freekick which was hit by Frits Evenhuis. When Jeremias Maia came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the C o n f i a n ç a - SE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Maia couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the game, Frits Evenhuis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MC ESPANHOL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C o n f i a n ç a - SE the free kick. A collision led to MC ESPANHOL getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Frits Evenhuis hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Frits Evenhuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Sourpis came free, but Diguinho Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Maia in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teófilo Belém prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clayton Pedron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Teófilo Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, MC ESPANHOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Sourpis to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MC ESPANHOL eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
