MACUMBA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goo Goo Dolls the free kick. After a rather tough play, MACUMBA's Leonides Kaiet got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Simeone in the 14th minute of play forced Goo Goo Dolls's goalkeeper Benjamin Cuss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Cacá Mangione recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manga Santos. Cacá Mangione showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Wilson Mineiro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Wilson Mineiro was shown his second yellow card after 24 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 25th match minute, MACUMBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. José Jofre kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Olimpiu Dragnea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Giovanni Simeone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Cuss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Goo Goo Dolls's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Simeone came free, but Benjamin Cuss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cacá Mangione made a kick off. José Jofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Cuss having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Mangione in the 58th minute of play forced MACUMBA's goalkeeper Manga Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Simeone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goo Goo Dolls's Teddy Ball was substituted for Steve Boulding. Goo Goo Dolls's Trey Hughes-Guy was substituted for Fábio Quintal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovanni Simeone in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Cuss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MACUMBA's Manga Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Anson in the 71st minute of play. After some careless play in the MACUMBA defense, Cacá Mangione kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manga Santos. The MACUMBA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manga Santos should have stopped the shot. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when MACUMBA's Giovanni Simeone in the 78th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Benjamin Cuss was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Goo Goo Dolls through an amazing save. MACUMBA's Manga Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Mangione in the 80th minute of play. Giovanni Simeone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Cacá Mangione left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goo Goo Dolls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. MACUMBA's Manga Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Mangione in the 89th minute of play. The Goo Goo Dolls fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Goo Goo Dolls's Cacá Mangione looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
