The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rinkeby FC's Corderun Geras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play forced Rinkeby FC's goalkeeper Corderun Geras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corderun Geras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Dahlberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. In the 11th minute of the match, Ingvar Dahlberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Ingvar Dahlberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Dahlberg in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Dahlberg. Rinkeby FC's Corderun Geras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. Lars-Erik Haegg hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corderun Geras saved Rinkeby FC from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Ingvar Dahlberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rinkeby FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Corderun Geras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
