Wiktor Dabrowski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Benson Beverley in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 35 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Remigiusz Paciuszko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes Mestre GG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Remigiusz Paciuszko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Boguslaw Makarewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Boguslaw Makarewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benson Beverley made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benson Beverley in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Boguslaw Makarewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ximenes Murieta hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Remigiusz Paciuszko made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Paraíba in the 63rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benson Beverley in the 65th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Benson Beverley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mestre GG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Remigiusz Paciuszko made a huge save. With his leg Remigiusz Paciuszko managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Makarewicz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Mestre GG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Benson Beverley kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benson Beverley, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Mestre GG support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
