Rinkeby FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 35 minutes, Geovani Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rinkeby FC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mexico booed when Rinkeby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corderun Geras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. Corderun Geras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes Rinkeby FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Eklund. 43 minutes into the match, Rinkeby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Corderun Geras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corderun Geras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corderun Geras prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corderun Geras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 60th minute. In the 61st play minute Facundo Cadaval came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Corderun Geras. 0-5. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Corderun Geras made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Rinkeby FC's goalkeeper Corderun Geras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. In the 67th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corderun Geras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Corderun Geras made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Rinkeby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Corderun Geras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Joel Gaona took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Corderun Geras to make any attempt to save it. Corderun Geras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Rinkeby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Corderun Geras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corderun Geras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 80th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Corderun Geras threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 83rd minute of play forced Rinkeby FC's goalkeeper Corderun Geras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Leonardo Leoz got a free kick in the 89th minute. Tobias Björkdal hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Dahlberg came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
