Mircea Cigu was slow to take the kick. During this time FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's Gaspar Ishmael getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Lindqvist in the 6th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's Gaspar Ishmael. But to his dismay, Gaspar Ishmael quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gaspar Ishmael kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Gaspar Ishmael capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gaspar Ishmael really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Iordache Bugariu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Ishmael, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Napoleon Klewinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Deliman to maneuver through the defense.

Gaspar Ishmael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Iordache Bugariu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 66th minute Iordache Bugariu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Ishmael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Michael Lindqvist in the 75th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Ishmael struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV. FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's Mircea Boerescu was substituted for Gaspar Ishmael. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Boerescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. In the 90thth minute of the game Mircea Boerescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Basarab Pătru heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Mircea Boerescu sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. FORTUNA ARTEMIS BRASOV's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
