Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute, Gaizka Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pentti Ojala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pentti Ojala's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 19 in the game by Pentti Ojala from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaizka Mendieta in the 22nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christo Bothenhain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Witlatschil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pentti Ojala got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pentti Ojala in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pentti Ojala got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josef Witlatschil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Iwo Sawicki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pentti Ojala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josef Witlatschil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Thilo Heß cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Iwo Sawicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Pentti Ojala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Pentti Ojala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 65th minute of play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tiger made a substitution. Américo Baehr replaced Fatih Schwemer. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marten Weise, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Tiger's Américo Baehr got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Marten Weise came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Tiger were the better team. Tiger's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
