It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Christo Bothenhain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 8 minutes, Jonathan Venegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Tiger players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iwo Sawicki's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Christo Bothenhain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Sawicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute of the match Christo Bothenhain sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Rudolf Speed in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thilo Heß in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Iwo Sawicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pentti Ojala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Christo Bothenhain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pentti Ojala came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Tiger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pentti Ojala couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaizka Mendieta got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Iwo Sawicki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Rudolf Speed got a free kick in the 39th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iwo Sawicki got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iwo Sawicki was the one to do the kick off. Thilo Heß sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After taking down the ball on Tiger's corner Christo Bothenhain fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Iwo Sawicki notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the game, Tiger's Marten Weise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marten Weise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josef Witlatschil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marten Weise, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Tiger's Américo Baehr was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tiger's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
