Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) La Fenix's Arnoldo Cambiasso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced La Fenix's goalkeeper Eliseo Tolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Cambiasso in the 7th minute of play. Eliseo Tolino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseo Tolino was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 13 minutes La Fenix's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montenegro to score against Eliseo Tolino in La Fenix's goal. 0-1 after 13 minutes. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Tolino having to interfere. Eliseo Tolino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Fenix's goalkeeper Eliseo Tolino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after La Fenix's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Eliseo Tolino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 25th minute of the match. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliseo Tolino. Eliseo Tolino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 29 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseo Tolino was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32ndth minute of the game Arnoldo Cambiasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

La Fenix's Eliseo Tolino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save La Fenix from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eliseo Tolino in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. La Fenix's Eliseo Tolino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save La Fenix from getting a goal against them. Carmelo Cesario hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eloy Truylos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, La Fenix's Eloy Truylos got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than La Fenix.
