The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Villegas Villagarcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Montalvo Huidobro hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Villegas Villagarcia having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Iglesias in the 41st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. YerBaTerOs made a substitution. Zoil Soltero replaced Ruben Iglesias. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. YerBaTerOs's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Alberto Tafalla scored to the left of an out of position Villegas Villagarcia, making the score, 1-2. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Anguciana in the 59th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Anguciana in the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Bruna, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Villegas Villagarcia, 1-4. In the 80th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Villegas Villagarcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Villegas Villagarcia in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loco Fondos struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YerBaTerOs. Villegas Villagarcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 94th minute. Villegas Villagarcia made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than YerBaTerOs.
