When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. The supporters of Honduras booed when União Desportiva Airão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Örtendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. União Desportiva Airão's Nivaldo Lameirinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gualter Moutinho. Gualter Moutinho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Ademar Bulhosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, União Desportiva Airão's Zé Prata got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Maia in the 86th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Espinar kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match.
