After 17 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. In the 18th match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Kaxen to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Hilario Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Tomas Kaxen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Kaxen kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Ramos came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hilario Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Ramos came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 36th minute, Leonardo Lluciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Hilario Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Deportivo Pomelo Nenene getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Luis Indartsu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Luis Indartsu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hilario Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

After 50 played minutes Deportivo Pomelo Nenene got a freekick which was hit by Damian Damario. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Hilario Ramos in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Lluciano to maneuver through the defense. Damian Damario didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hilario Ramos came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. 91 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Hilario Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hilario Ramos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Indartsu during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Indartsu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
