Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Maurice Odonnell sent off a good shot on target. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Maurice Odonnell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Maurice Odonnell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Quincy Loyd got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 21st minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Varennes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Maurice Odonnell sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Goudreau, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Maurice Odonnell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Odonnell in the 40th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Goudreau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurice Odonnell made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurice Odonnell's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. In the 55th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Varennes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Varennes's goalie and right to Patricio Costa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Varennes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Erwin Gay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ward Houde hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Varennes's Hong Mosher was substituted for Ward Houde. Ward Houde kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Varennes's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Boone came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Maurice Odonnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Seth Luke got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seth Luke went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 85 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Titus Pineda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Titus Pineda in the 94th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Varennes had played much better football throughout.
