After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rodríguez Tome dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 75th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodríguez Tome. The goal made the score 1-4. When Jaime Santikurtz fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga de Quito's protests and gave Jaime Santikurtz a yellow card for diving instead. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Rodríguez Tome when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Antonio Arias put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! In the 92ndth minute of the game 孟轩青 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Santikurtz hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孟轩青, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Liga de Quito.
