Marin Nikolkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Marin Nikolkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marin Nikolkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliks Chwalkiewicz during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maritza's Feliks Chwalkiewicz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Marin Nikolkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Marin Nikolkov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danail Mitzakov made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Hubina came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danail Mitzakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of play. Feliks Chwalkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Zoltán Hubina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Maritza's Danail Mitzakov got control of the ball when Luca Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Danail Mitzakov didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 80th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Danail Mitzakov in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th of the match, Joel Gaona tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Danail Mitzakov got in the way and made a wonderful save. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
