The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedrão Tepedino hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Paulinho Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Agroboys SM - CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Moraes couldn't finish the play. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agroboys SM - CIMZ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 17th minute. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marco Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 25th match minute, Agroboys SM - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Giuseppe Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agroboys SM - CIMZ and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Agroboys SM - CIMZ! Valério Monteiro had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Axel Tasis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Paulinho Moraes struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agroboys SM - CIMZ. After having played for 40 minutes, Régis Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agroboys SM - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Régis Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Tião de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Hoffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Agroboys SM - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Tião de Amaral. 55 minutes into the match, Régis Porto notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valério Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 59th minute of the match. Valério Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute of the match, Axel Tasis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valério Monteiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Régis Porto scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valério Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Tasis went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 70th match minute, Agroboys SM - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Hoffmann in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marco Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Porto in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Porto in the 87th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Marco Hoffmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Agroboys SM - CIMZ had played much better football throughout.
