Hélio Gomes came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hélio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Emilian Săvulescu made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Hélio Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 26th minute of play forced Tocantinópolis EC's goalkeeper Hélio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Emilian Săvulescu made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Bagge in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play forced Tocantinópolis EC's goalkeeper Hélio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Hélio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute of play. Tocantinópolis EC's Marcelo Ortiz was substituted for Silvano Abechuco. After 58 minutes Tocantinópolis EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Milagros Fraga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tocantinópolis EC's Hélio Gomes did a great save. In the 59thth minute of the game Eliseo Mina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tocantinópolis EC's Hélio Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 61 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélio Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélio Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Milagros Fraga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hélio Gomes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Bagge in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes in the game Emilian Săvulescu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luís Eger. 71 minutes into the match, Tocantinópolis EC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Hélio Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélio Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Tocantinópolis EC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luz Tejedor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Bagge in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Tocantinópolis EC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Tocantinópolis EC's Michel Bagge looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 86 played minutes Tocantinópolis EC got a freekick which was hit by Dorian de Brito. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. A collision led to Tocantinópolis EC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dorian de Brito hit a great ball. Tocantinópolis EC's Hélio Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Tocantinópolis EC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Vargas in the 91st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Peru's Hélio Gomes threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Gallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 95th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Eliseo Mina went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Milagros Fraga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Tocantinópolis EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
