In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Café DE PLOEG's goalkeeper Carel Van de Schrieck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carel Van de Schrieck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute of the match. Café DE PLOEG's Carel Van de Schrieck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Café DE PLOEG from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Carballar hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
