Los Frogos's Mattias Jansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Los Frogos's Haldun Bilen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christoffer Mårtensson's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Frogos's Christoffer Mårtensson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-0 after 45 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christoffer Mårtensson to make the kick off. Tomas Godholm made a great header on Los Frogos's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save.
