After a defensive mix-up in Juventudes Libertárias's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Eliazar came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mauro Eliazar. The goal made the score 1-2. With a little luck, Juventudes Libertárias's Mauro Eliazar got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Almeida in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 78 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Mauro Eliazar managed to make a qualified save. Juventudes Libertárias's players were relieved. In the 79th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80thth minute of the game Agostinho Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Agostinho Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
