Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Doug Bermudez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Aquilino Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Los Diablos Rojos's Rosendo Eufemio got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Aguilera was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When Doug Bermudez came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Los Diablos Rojos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doug Bermudez couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Los Diablos Rojos's Rosendo Eufemio got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquilino Aguilera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Aquilino Aguilera came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Aquilino Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Aquilino Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug Bermudez in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Los Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Aquilino Aguilera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Aquilino Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. With a little luck, Los Diablos Rojos's Aquilino Aguilera got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Aguilera having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Los Diablos Rojos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Aquilino Aguilera, making the score, 0-4. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Aquilino Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Aquilino Aguilera made a huge save. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Los Diablos Rojos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
