Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aloísio Lendaa started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Guidetti in the 3rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 18th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Lendaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Börje Albohm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24th play minutes Aloísio Lendaa shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Dante Lacasa and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börje Albohm. Baxters Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Lendaa in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Baxters Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Lendaa to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Olayo in the 38th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baxters Boys the free kick. In the 48th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. The Baxters Boys players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Cornelio Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Börje Albohm. Börje Albohm yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Börje Albohm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 62nd minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Lendaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Olayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 70 played minutes Baxters Boys got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Piccioli. Baxters Boys's Uzay Gencalp was substituted for Aloísio Lendaa. In the 72nd match minute, Baxters Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Piccioli to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Luca Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Börje Albohm was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Börje Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Novella in the 80th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uzay Gencalp in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Börje Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Cornelio Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Baxters Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marioara Olaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Börje Albohm. That made the score 1-5 after 96 minutes of play. Mexico played a much better game than Baxters Boys and deserved their victory. The Baxters Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
