Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the game, Mirko Saßmannshausen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bastian Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastian Abel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirko Saßmannshausen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mirko Saßmannshausen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, FC Eisenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Bastian Abel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bastian Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. Mirko Saßmannshausen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bastian Abel. Bastian Abel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. FC Eisenberg's Mirko Saßmannshausen got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. FC Eisenberg's Mirko Saßmannshausen got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bastian Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastian Abel having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Folko Meckelburg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match FC Eisenberg got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wolfgang Schui ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Mirko Saßmannshausen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, FC Eisenberg's goalkeeper Bastian Abel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 93rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mirko Saßmannshausen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Bastian Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
