Aitor España showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Aitor España tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Maunu Parkkonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AllRaf EC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card.

After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Joel da Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 55th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AllRaf EC's Aitor España did a great save. In the 57th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aitor España. The goal made the score 1-3. Aitor España made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute. Aitor España showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Harri came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aitor España showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Gaúcho in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, AllRaf EC's Froilan Harri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. AllRaf EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
