Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristiano Correia started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Correia in the 3rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Club Atlético Temperley's Rolando Lopez in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ioan Voicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 28th minute of play. Orlando Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute of the match Club Atlético Temperley got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Pitin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Marco Villerias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marco Villeriass short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Rolando Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Lopez in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Lopez.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atlético Temperley's Rolando Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd match minute, Club Atlético Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Correia to maneuver through the defense. If Rolando Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Lopez in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Cordarell. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Gaston Laurendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ecuador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
