Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ted Almstedt got the match started through his kick off. Nils-Erik Åhlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ted Almstedt in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 10 minutes, Ted Almstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runa United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ted Almstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Runa United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 minutes, Ted Almstedt made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 22nd minute of the match. Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Ted Almstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Nils-Erik Åhlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Åhlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Tommy Ekgren hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Erik Åhlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Runa United's Harry Boumans was substituted for Ted Almstedt. 65 minutes into the game, Harry Boumans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Boumans's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Boumans came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Harry Boumans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 82nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Erik Åhlberg was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Boumans in the 90th minute of play. Tommy Ekgren hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Runa United and deserved their victory. The Runa United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
