Primo Sans's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zachary Mentus struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. The long shot by Cyril Reynal in the 16th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Primo Sans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute of the match, Primo Sans got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After having played for 24 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wiliam Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wiliam Carioca who took care of the corner kick. Camilo Gaos tried in the game's 35th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Jonathan Ferrant. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. Guillermo Mariano made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tomas Illescas. 47 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primo Sans. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Primo Sans to make the kick off. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Vicente Catarinense made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primo Sans, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Academia B.F.'s Wiliam Carioca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 58th match minute, Academia B.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Primo Sans struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. After 65 minutes, Jeremias Porfirio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia B.F. and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Jeremias Porfirio got a free kick in the 66th minute. Academia B.F. made a substitution. Michel Totti replaced Primo Sans. Academia B.F.'s João Francisco Fontes was substituted for Wiliam Carioca. Academia B.F.'s Lauro Quirino managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 70 minute of the game. In the 76th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. A hard and well directed shot from Josué Godoi led 77 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. Lauro Quirino's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. Venezuela made a substitution. Enrique Pozo replaced Jose Correa. Michel Totti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
