In the 7th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristo Elivareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. Lucas Brais hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristo Elivareo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. In the 13th minute, Teodosio Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Elivareo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernan Socorro in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristo Elivareo having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Barrialito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Cristo Elivareo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Elivareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Barrialito AFC's Joel Tiniebra got a free kick in the 44th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernan Socorro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Elivareo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 53rd minute of play forced Barrialito AFC's goalkeeper Cristo Elivareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Barrialito AFC's goalkeeper Cristo Elivareo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Socorro in the 66th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristo Elivareo, 0-3. Lucas Brais charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Brais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Barrialito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Brais to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristo Elivareo. Cristo Elivareo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 85 minutes into the game, Efrain Blai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrialito AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Barrialito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Barrialito AFC's Cristo Elivareo got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristo Elivareo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Socorro in the 94th minute of play. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
