The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gremio Viana's Amado Melo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lisandro Martinez in the 6 minute of the game. Agustin Orion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute, Joaquim Paredes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gremio Viana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Lisandro Martinez made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gremio Viana's Higino Queirós. After 20 minutes of play, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustin Orion was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Joaquim Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustin Orion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Paredes in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Carlos Maxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Fiúza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Gremio Viana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augustin Panaiteanu in the 31st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Ke Zhi Jian heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Agustin Orion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Paredes in the 33rd minute of the match. Samuel Fiúza made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Dante Marino sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gremio Viana's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dante Marino was slow to take the kick. During this time Llavallol FC's players had a chance to rest. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 40th minute of play. The throw-in from Lisandro Martinez in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Higino Queirós. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Agustin Orion was a little too slow when Joaquim Paredes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 54th minute, Percy Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Fiúza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4.
