Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Bela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 2nd minute of the match. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Bela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 8th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Bela. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Pedro Bela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentinos Juniors's Pedro Bela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Argentinos Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Segundo Lucado tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Pedro Bela. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-3 in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Bela. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Bela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Bela having to make a save. 28 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Bela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Gonzo got free with Julio Vera in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Pedro Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Pedro Bela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Pedro Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Bela came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Bela. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Pedro Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Argentinos Juniors getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Luciano Presebal hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Bela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Bela having to make a save. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Bela made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Bela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Bela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pedro Bela made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Bela having to make a save. 80 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Pedro Bela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 83 minutes Argentinos Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Luis Andino drilling the ball in to score 0-12 behind Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Israel Shepherd got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Bela. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-13. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Bela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 91 minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrián Domenech didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
