Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Guillermo Izquierdo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Bazil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Luca Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Martin Palermo F.C.'s Silvio Bazil did a great save. Silvio Bazil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of play forced Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Silvio Bazil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Bazil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Giammarino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Serafin Manni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Silvio Bazil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Silvio Bazil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Arósio came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Luca Rouco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvio Bazil in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrico Giammarino in the 43rd minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Arósio in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Bazil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Giammarino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Martin Palermo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Porfirio to maneuver through the defense. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Silvio Bazil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Martin Palermo F.C. from getting a goal against them. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Sebastián Izquierdo was substituted for Guillermo Izquierdo. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Martin Palermo F.C.'s Silvio Bazil did a great save. Silvio Bazil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 83rd minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Silvio Bazil got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
