Yavuz Selimhan Yağız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selimhan Yağız having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selimhan Yağız having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yavuz Selimhan Yağız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montes drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Fidan SK's goalkeeper. 33 minutes into the match, Fidan SK's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Yavuz Selimhan Yağız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yavuz Selimhan Yağız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Feridun Vefai sent off a good shot on target. After 43 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. After 45 minutes, Rauf Özalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fidan SK and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Fidan SK got a freekick which was hit by Rauf Özalp. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fidan SK's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yavuz Selimhan Yağız came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selimhan Yağız having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rauf Özalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yavuz Selimhan Yağız made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Fidan SK's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Yavuz Selimhan Yağız reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Feridun Vefai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidan SK's Yavuz Selimhan Yağız proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Fidan SK from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erdem Rüştü ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Erdem Rüştü almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. 92 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fidan SK the free kick. The supporters of Fidan SK booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yavuz Selimhan Yağız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Fidan SK and deserved their victory. The Fidan SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
