In the 3rd minute Vlad Ţăranu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Mexico's Luca Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jairo Castellano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Vlad Ţăranu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrico Del Bosque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Henrico Del Bosque recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Henrico Del Bosque showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Curcio Carballeira. Thanks to some nice moves Curcio Carballeira could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. Club Getafe Deportivo's Jairo Castellano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Castellano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Curcio Carballeira made a kick off. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrico Del Bosque in the 56th minute of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Getafe Deportivo made a substitution. Gau Bergada replaced Vlad Ţăranu. Henrico Del Bosque struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Getafe Deportivo. In the 65th minute Hubert Marais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Jairo Castellano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jairo Castellano made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 90th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlo Sarrate in the 90th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Marais in the 92nd minute of play. When Club Getafe Deportivo's Gau Bergada in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
